Professor Henry has recently received multiple awards for his contributions to the greater field of analytical chemistry:

ACS Division of Analytical Chemistry – Electrochemistry award, 2025 Professor Henry has been instrumental in the development of advanced electrochemical methods combined with lab-on-a-chip technologies. His discoveries have led to significant advancements in environmental and biological analysis with applications in detecting heavy metals and pathogens, environmental monitoring, and diagnostics and prognostics for human diseases.

Charles N. Reilley Award in Electroanalytical Chemistry, 2026 This award is given in memory of one of the most distinguished analytical chemists of the 20th century.

In March 2026, Professor Henry was named a University Distinguished Professor at Colorado State University. The title is the greatest academic honor that may be bestowed upon tenured faculty members at CSU. Only 2% of the university’s total tenured faculty may be granted the rank, which is designed to confer honor and to demonstrate CSU’s commitment to academic excellence.
