Two members of the Henry Group, Kaylee Clark and Melissa Schenkel competed in the Venture RAMS Business Showcase Competition and CSU Demo Days hosted by the Institute for Entrepreneurship. They presented their product, the eCADI, a diagnostic device that uses an electrochemical immunosensor for the detection of COVID-19. The duo took 3rd place overall in the RAMS Business Showcase competition, and they won the College of Natural Science Innovator Award!
Some members from the Henry Group opted for a cooler spring break destination this year: the mountains!
The Henry Group has recently welcomed many new members: Kash Aryal, first-year Ph.D. student, Phuri Kaewarsa, Vanessa Neiva de Ataide, Ploy Prakobdi, and Wheni Indrianingsih, visiting scholars, and Thaísa Baldo and Matt Russo, postdocs. We are excited to welcome them all to our group!
Happy Halloween from Henry Lab members Kaylee Clark, Amanda Roley, and Trey Pittman.
Chuck and four students from the lab recently traveled to Palm Springs, CA from October 10-14 to the MicroTAS Conference to present some of their current work.
Congratulations to Chuck, who has now officially published 200 papers!
A few weeks ago, most of the lab made it out for our second annual ice fishing trip! There were not as many fish as last time but we still had a great time! We also went skiing at Snowy Range again. Check out some pictures of the fun below!

We have another Ph.D. in the group! Dr. Cody Carrell defended his dissertation “Improving Sensors for Pathogen Detection at the Point-of-Need” last week via Teams. He’ll be sticking around for another few months to work on COVID diagnostics.
